Festival Sciences Métisses 2013

The deep sea lab participated to the Festival 'Sciences Métisses' at Océanopolis !

From 11 to 13 April 2013, the Festival 'Sciences Métisses' took place at Océanopolis.
This festival, which is held every year, is a book fair for popular science. It also offers round tables, animations, films, exhibitions and shows.
This year, the theme was "Far horizons... new explorations".
15 scientists from the Deep Environment Laboratory took turns on the "Ingenious tools for ocean discoverers" stand to help visitors discover the richness and specificities of deep-sea ecosystems. The public was varied: schoolchildren from the first to the last year of secondary school, families, young and old... In total, nearly 1400 people (including 1000 schoolchildren) came to discover this new edition of the festival.
